On this episode of Creative Space, I wanted to share a little holiday gift with you all in the form of affirmations, namely affirmations for creativity. Did you know that according to the National Science Foundation, 80% of our thoughts are negative and 95% of our thoughts are repetitive? This negativity loop isn’t good for our creativity and that’s where affirmations have helped me.

I’ve put a few of my favorite creativity affirmations in this episode for you to listen to and use. I hope they help you unlock new levels of creativity and happiness in 2022, 2023 and beyond.

Jennifer Logue:

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of creative space, a Podcast where we explore, learn and grow and creativity together. I'm your host Jennifer Logue. And today, I wanted to share a little holiday gift with you all in the form of affirmations, namely affirmations for creativity. Well, I'm usually a pretty positive person, I have negative thoughts about myself, and my abilities all of the time. And this is human. So if you can relate to this, you're not alone. Even the most optimistic, bright eyed and bushy tailed of us have negative thoughts and can be hard on ourselves. It's just how we're wired. Our brains react more strongly to negativity out of a need to survive. But since we're not being chased down by wild animals anymore on a day to day basis, hopefully, the negativity bias our brains are wired for isn't necessary and can really get in the way of us living life to its fullest potential, especially when it comes to embracing our creativity. According to the National Science Foundation, 80% of our thoughts are negative, and 95% are repetitive. So if we don't start replacing negative thoughts with more positive thoughts, we stay stuck in a negativity loop. So to begin healing myself, I started using positive affirmations. I didn't see results immediately. But bit by bit, they do work. You really have to do them every day though. Whenever I skip doing them, my day doesn't go as well. It's kind of like skipping a workout. But this is a workout for your brain. As a little gift to you this holiday season, I thought I'd share some of my affirmations on creativity to help you on your creative journey. I'll say each affirmation once and then I'll leave space for you to repeat it out loud. You can refer back to this episode whenever you need a boost. Also, if there's an affirmation that doesn't resonate with you simply skip it. Enjoy affirmations for creativity. I am creative. We are all creative. I choose to honor my creativity today. The way my creativity shows up in the world is unique to me and I cherish it I am here on this planet for special purpose gifted to me by my Creator we are all here on this planet for a special purpose gifted to us by our Creator I celebrate the gifts I've been given. I am enough and my talent is enough here and now. I am joyous in every step of the process. When I encounter a wall, I push through and create anyway I make space for my gifts and my gift makes space for me my creative process is rewarding in itself and fills me with so much joy I am so grateful to be able to do what I do in this life. Joy in the process is the ultimate success. I celebrate the gifts others have been given because they are on their own unique journeys. When I see others succeed, it makes me happy to see our Creator working in their life. through my creativity, I can transform pain into power. I can transform sadness into joy. I can transform fear into love. Creativity can be survival. Creativity can be healing, creativity can be play. I can take whatever ingredients life brings me and make something beautiful to share. Creativity connects us. Creativity makes us whole. Creativity helps us see the world as others see it and feel the world as others feel it. A more creative world is a kinder world. And I believe creativity can save the world. I celebrate the gifts I've been given and the gifts you've been given. There is room for all of us. We're all stars in the eyes of our Creator. And I will do my part today to make the world more beautiful and loving. Thank you so much for tuning into this episode of creative space.
